Partnership Southwark

Welcome to Partnership Southwark, Southwark’s local care partnership

We wanted to write to give you a short introduction. The Co-Chairs on the Partnership Southwark Strategic Board are Councillor Evelyn Akoto, Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing and Dr Nancy Küchemann, GP.

People have told us that they want health, care and education services to be more joined-up, person centred and easy to access. We agree; services can often be too complex and fragmented, which leads to poorer health and wellbeing outcomes. By working together, and with local communities, we can make sure that:

  • Services are more consistent and responsive to the needs of service users, carers, and families
  • We address the inequalities that exist within our communities, many of which have been exacerbated by the Covid pandemic.

To do this, we have divided the challenge up into four areas, start well, live well, age well and care well to work with services at every stage of a person’s life. As a partnership, our vision is to enable every part of the health and care system in Southwark to make the borough an amazing place to be born, live a full healthy life, and spend one’s final years.

Partnership Southwark includes the following organisations working closely with other partners across health, care, education and the voluntary and community sector; and with service users, carers and local communities, Our partners include Quay Health Solutions, Improving Health Limited, Community Southwark, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust , King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, NHS South East London , Southwark Council, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Find out more about the Partnership.
