Primary Care Navigator (PCN) update

QHS will be working with the National Association of Primary Care to run PCN training days in July. Please keep an eye out for further information in the QHS Bulletin that comes out on Wednesdays. Contact your Neighbourhood Coordinator, if you have any questions.

 

Southwark Wellbeing Hub – wellbeing workshops

Various locations across Southwark

The Southwark Wellbeing Hub is offering a programme of workshops and group activities that gives you the opportunity to meet people, enjoy a hobby or learn something new about yourself and your mental health. No referral or diagnosis needed.Workshops include:

  • An Introduction to Mindfulness
  • Confidence in Social Situations
  • Mental Health: Disclosure and Your Rights at Work
  • Hearing Voices Group
  • Carers’ Groups
  • Reading groups, creative writing for beginners and many more. Take a look at their brochure for a full list of workshops.

Shelter Southwark – housing advice

Southwark Council’s Housing Solutions Service, 25-27 Bournemouth Road, Peckham, SE15 4UJ 

Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through advice, support and legal services.The services they offer include:

  • Practical help to keep your tenancy
  • Support to liaise with Southwark Council regarding your case
  • Help accessing legal services
  • Help finding additional support services
  • Support to resolve problems with your landlord
  • Support finding a new home
If you would like to speak to someone, come to one of their drop-in sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays, 10am-1pm. Alternatively, if you would like to speak to someone about booking an appointment, please email. Please see their flyer for further information.

 

Talking therapies – career management service

The career management service is part of Talking Therapies Southwark and supports people who are accessing therapy to improve their career management skills. The service is made up of a team of career coaches who can support you to find work or help you keep your job if you are experiencing difficulties at work.Support offered can include:

  • Career guidance
  • Assistance to access training, education and volunteering
  • Employability support: CV development, help with application forms, interview advice and job search support
  • Career Management Workshops on topics such as Social Media for Job Search, Interview Skills and Disclosure

  • Please see the flyer for the events being run by South London Cares this month. On the last Friday of every month from 1-8pm, a Carers’ Cafe is held at Walworth Methodist Church to help local carers extend their social group and enjoy some light entertainment. See their website for further information.
