Primary care navigator update

  • Please keep a look out for an email from your neighbourhood coordinator asking you to complete a survey about how navigator work is currently being done in your practice. Your feedback will help build a picture about how we can develop further support for practices and navigators. Thank you in advance!
  • QHS will be running a navigator training day later this year. Further information will be in the QHS Bulletin that is sent on Wednesdays. Please let your neighbourhood coordinator know if you need to be signed up to this mailing list.

Staying cool this summer

Please visit NHS website about how to cope with a heatwave. It’s important we look out for each other during this hot weather. The most vulnerable people are:

  • older people, especially those over 75
  • babies and young children
  • people with a serious long-term condition, especially heart or breathing problems
  • people with mobility problems – for example, people with Parkinson’s disease or who have had a stroke
  • people with serious mental health problems
  • people on certain medicines, including those that affect sweating and temperature control
  • people who misuse alcohol or drugs
  • people who are physically active – for example, labourers or those doing sports

The BBC has produced a useful article about staying cool in the summer that you can read here.
